About Optiver Beat the Odds
Beat the Odds is a probability-focused assessment built around making correct quantitative decisions quickly. EverythingQuant offers a free five-question fixed sample without signup and a Premium ten-question randomised practice mode. Both allow 90 seconds per question. These are EQ practice formats, not a claim about the current format of every Optiver assessment.
Preparation should therefore combine probability knowledge with fast model selection: identify the random experiment, define the event or payoff that matters, and choose the shortest correct route to the answer. Use the fixed sample to learn the format and review your reasoning. Premium randomised practice is intended to develop that reasoning on unseen variants rather than memorisation of the sample.

What does Optiver Beat the Odds test?
The assessment is probability-focused and rewards fast, accurate reasoning about uncertain outcomes. Expected value and conditional probability are particularly useful foundations.
How much time do I get?
Both EQ modes allow 90 seconds per question: five questions in the free fixed sample and ten in full Premium practice. Correct answers earn one point; incorrect, unanswered or timed-out questions earn zero.
Can I take the sample without an account?
Yes. Start the five-question fixed sample without signup, then see your score and worked explanations. Create a free account or sign in afterward to save that same attempt and continue with a related exercise.
Will I get new questions if I repeat the free sample?
No. The free sample uses the same five questions. Premium full practice selects ten questions using an unseen-question rotation within each category; a category resets after its available variants have been seen.
